Prose Poem in Serving House Journal

New Prose Poem
from
How the World was Made
in

Based on an anti-war march I attended in Denver,
many years ago.

It begins thusly:

March in Denver

Clear sky. The sun is a furious bird. Coal trains move through the mountains to the west. So many brilliant cars pass the anti-war signs speared into grass. When a car honks in support, a friend screams “Park your car!” He has only a few seconds to explain all of history...

 You can find the rest

Meanwhile,
I'm giving a reading from
All the Beautiful Dead
at
The Golden Notebook
in
Woodstock, NY
on Saturday, October 22, 2016

If you know anyone in Woodstock or Kingston, New York,
let them know.
