2 New Poems in Tiger Moth Review

 

There are two new poems from the new manuscript “The Next World” recently published in Tiger Moth Review, Issue 8.

The Tiger Moth Review, edited by Esther Vincent Xueming, is an eco-conscious journal based in Singapore that publishes art and literature engaging with the themes of nature, culture, the environment and ecology.

 

Esther Vincent Xueming is the author of Red Earth (Blue Cactus Press, 2021), and co-editor of two poetry anthologies, Poetry Moves (Ethos Books, 2020) and Little Things (Ethos Books, 2013), and Making Kin, an ecofeminist anthology of personal essays by women writers in Singapore (Ethos Books).

What’s not there calls to me

 

What’s not there calls to me. Can you hear it? Wind over an

empty bottle half-buried in sand, edge of the high-tide line.

 

Spray lifts off foam, becomes a seagull, becomes a grey veil.

I sometimes make lists of things that have replaced what’s no

 

longer there…
